Synopsis - In this horror/sci-fi thriller, the director of an asylum offers the serial killer Molly Keller (Erin Karpluk) a chance to be submitted to a pilot unconventional experiment in Prague, in the Weisser Institute. Molly accepts, and she travels to the clinic, where Dr. Samuel Wiesser (Richard Bremmer) developed a treatment using a virtual world, where Molly and deranged youngsters will be trial subjects. However, something goes wrong in the experiment, and when the patients die in their trip, the same happens in the real world.

Critics' Kudos:
The film Asylum: "The direction is surprisingly decent for this type of movie. The actors do a good job. Richard Bremmer plays the maniacal Dr. Samuel Wiesser, founder and creator of the secret medical institute undertaking experimental 'virtual' treatment on the group of annoying youngsters. Bremmer's eyes bulge with insanity as he mysteriously shepherds his flock of misfits from one nightmare to another. There are quite a few pretty naked women liberally scattered through out the running time (especially during the nightclub basement sequence), which is nice.

"Velocity's DVD presentation is reasonably solid with a good clean widescreen transfer which is pretty clear of image gremlins. The Dolby 2.0 stereo sound was also crisp. It's shot nicely and edited smoothly."

Movie House Commentary: "Ripper 2 features some impressive photographs of old castles and Prague street scenes and long scenes of gratuitous sexual acts between random strangers in a Czech sex club."

Shivers of Horror: "Erin Karpluk was actually quite good, and I wouldn’t mind seeing her in other films."
